Redmi’s upcoming Redmi Turbo 6 Max is expected to bring a significant upgrade over its predecessor, particularly in terms of battery capacity. Reliable tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed that the smartphone may feature an enormous 11,000mAh battery, which would set a new record for Xiaomi devices.

Battery Specifications and Features

According to Digital Chat Station’s recent Weibo post, the performance-oriented phone will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity chipset and will include a 7-inch 2K ultra-high-refresh-rate display. The 11,000mAh battery is rated at 40.72Wh, marking a substantial increase over previous models.

If this information is accurate, the Redmi Turbo 6 Max would surpass the previously anticipated 10,000mAh batteries found in other upcoming Xiaomi devices. This large battery capacity could particularly attract users who prioritize extended gaming sessions and longer usage times between charges.

This is not the first mention of a large battery for this model. Earlier, Digital Chat Station suggested that the device would have a battery exceeding 10,000mAh alongside the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset. The latest update now specifies the capacity as 11,000mAh.

Previous leaks have also indicated that the Redmi Turbo 6 Max will feature an approximately 7-inch flat OLED display with a 2K resolution and an estimated refresh rate of 185Hz. The display is expected to utilize LIPO packaging, allowing for extremely narrow bezels of around 1mm on all sides. Additional reported features include a metal middle frame, IP68 and IP69 ratings, an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, and a dual-camera rear setup.

For context, the Redmi Turbo 5 Max launched with a 6.83-inch 1.5K 120Hz AMOLED display, a 9,000mAh battery, and 100W wired charging. The Turbo 6 Max is anticipated to bring considerable improvements in both display technology and battery capacity. It is also expected to be released as the Poco X9 Pro Max in global markets.

Redmi has yet to officially confirm the device or its specifications. A launch in China around January 2027 is possible, following the previous generation’s launch schedule. More details are awaited regarding this highly anticipated smartphone.
