Easily Sync Your Apple Music Across Devices with This Simple Setting

Using Apple Music on multiple devices is straightforward, especially for Apple device owners. However, the service is also available on various platforms, allowing users to sign in with their Apple Account on Android phones, Windows PCs, and smart TVs.
After signing in on a new device, users may find that their music library isn’t synced. Fortunately, adjusting a single setting in Apple Music can prompt it to sync across all devices, eliminating the need to manage the library manually.
How to Enable Sync Library on Apple Music
The primary reason Apple Music might not sync is that different accounts are being used on each device. Users should first verify their account by opening the Apple Music app and tapping their profile picture on the Home tab. If the email address on the unsynced device doesn’t match, they are signed in on a different account. Signing out and logging in with the primary Apple Account will resolve this issue.
Next, users need to ensure that Sync Library is enabled on their devices. On an iPhone or iPad, they should open Settings, find Apps, and select the Music app to enable Sync Library. On a Mac, users can open the Music app, click the Music menu at the top of the screen, go to Settings, and ensure Sync Library is enabled under the General tab. In Windows, the process is similar, but users need to click the three-dot button to find Settings. For Android phones, this option is enabled by default, requiring no changes.
The initial sync may take some time, especially for users with large music libraries. If songs do not appear immediately after enabling syncing, it is advisable to leave the Music app open for a few minutes.
Troubleshooting Sync Issues
If syncing issues persist, users can force the app to sync by clicking the File menu in the Mac app, selecting Library, and then Update Cloud Library. This option is also available in the Windows app sidebar but is not present in the Android and iOS apps.
Additionally, users should ensure their mobile devices are connected to Wi-Fi and not in Low Power Mode, as these factors can prevent syncing. If problems continue, turning off Sync Library in Settings and then turning it back on may help. Signing out of the Apple Account and logging back in is another potential solution. For those without an Apple Music subscription, syncing a library on a Mac or PC requires manually transferring the Music folder via Apple iTunes or Apple Devices.
While adjusting settings, users may also want to explore other options in Apple Music, such as changing audio quality settings to enable lossless audio.
