DeepMind Introduces Genie 4 for Enhanced World Simulation

28 October 2026 2 min read هدهد تك | Hudhud Tech

DeepMind has announced Genie 4, a new world model designed to enhance realism and improve real-time interactive simulations. Genie 4 is natively multimodal, allowing for the simultaneous generation of audio, such as music and ambient sounds, alongside interactive dialogue within the simulated environment.

This model builds on the capabilities of the Gemini family, with Gemini Omni anchoring simulations in realistic appearances and behaviors. Other Gemini models contribute complex reasoning to ensure the coherence and continuity of the simulations.

With Genie 4, users can initiate events and observe how the world responds, including the sounds and movements of characters within it. This advancement is significant for the development of artificial general intelligence (AGI), providing a platform for creating safe, variable simulations useful for training robots and agents, as well as for crafting new interactive experiences.

Genie 4 is currently being rolled out as a research preview to trusted testers. Feedback will be collected before a broader release to consumers and developers, starting with Google AI Ultra subscribers in Project Genie and early access partners of the Gemini API and Google AI Studio. Interested users can join the waitlist for Genie 4.

The model offers enhanced photorealism, fluid movement, and native audio capabilities, with sounds produced directly by Genie 4 itself. Users can modify simulations in real-time using natural language, enabling changes like weather alterations or the introduction of new characters or objects. The system adapts these prompts contextually to match the ongoing scene.

Genie 4 demonstrates its capabilities through real-time interactions, where users navigate and control the camera while steering the evolving scene with text prompts. This allows for a highly immersive experience, combining realistic visuals with natural sounds.

As Genie 4 continues to develop, it aims to set a new standard for interactive simulations, paving the way for future advancements in AI-driven environments.
