Xiaomi 18 with 100W Fast Charging Receives 3C Certification Ahead of Launch

The certification confirms that the device supports 100W fast charging. Reports suggest that this model is the standard Xiaomi 18, with expectations for an announcement next month.

This certification follows the launch of the Xiaomi 18 Pro series on September 23, during which the standard model was notably absent. During the Pro launch event, Lu Weibing, a partner and president of Xiaomi Group, confirmed that the standard Xiaomi 18 will be released separately at a later date, affirming the phone’s existence.

According to a timeline shared by the tipster Digital Chat Station, the Pro models would be released first, followed by the standard version in December. The recent 3C listing aligns with this timeline, as devices typically clear this certification a few weeks prior to their launch.

As for specifications, the Xiaomi 18 is expected to feature a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chip, a 200MP camera sensor, and a 7,200mAh battery, although Xiaomi has yet to confirm these details. Following the Pro launch, leaked information suggested these specifications.

The Xiaomi 18 Pro was the first device to utilize the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chip, which is built on a 2nm process and includes a 7,000mAh battery. It features a 6.4-inch display with a peak brightness of 4,000 nits and three Leica cameras for various focal lengths, along with hardware-level privacy protection.

If the leaks are accurate, the standard Xiaomi 18 may have a battery that is 200mAh larger than that of the Xiaomi 18 Pro, while sharing the same processor. Updates will follow once Xiaomi announces a launch date.
