Supermicro Projects Revenue Surge Driven by AI Demand

21 October 2026 2 min read هدهد تك | Hudhud Tech

Supermicro expects to report revenue of $18.5 billion to $19.5 billion for the three months ending in September, significantly higher than its earlier guidance of $14.5 billion to $15.5 billion. The company attributes this increase to “increased demand for AI platforms.”

The preliminary figures were released in a business update after the US market closed on October 20. The midpoint of the new revenue range is $4 billion above Supermicro’s prior forecast.

Gross Margin Expectations

In addition to revenue, Supermicro anticipates a gross margin of 12.0% to 12.5% for the quarter, surpassing its previous guidance of 10.4% to 10.8%. The company credits this improvement to its “customer and product mix.”

This quarter marks the first of Supermicro’s fiscal year 2027. In June, the company announced plans to raise $7 billion to fulfill $39 billion in AI server orders.

Unaudited Figures and Future Reporting

The figures provided are unaudited, and Supermicro noted that its auditor has not reviewed them, indicating that final results may differ materially. The update did not include further details beyond demand and product mix, nor did it feature comments from executives. The company plans to release full results on November 3.

This update follows recent news regarding AI servers being smuggled to China. Earlier this month, a fixer involved in the Super Micro case pleaded guilty to sending AI servers to China. In June, Taiwanese authorities conducted a raid on Supermicro’s office as part of a related investigation.
