Redmi K100 Features 50MP Camera and Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanner Ahead of Launch

Redmi has announced additional details regarding the K100, which is scheduled for launch in China on October 26. This model will join the previously unveiled Redmi K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max from August.

The Redmi K100 will come equipped with a dual-rear camera setup, featuring a 50MP Light and Shadow Hunter 800 main sensor. This sensor boasts a size of 1/1.55 inches and an aperture of f/1.68.

Additionally, the K100 will have an IP68 rating, ensuring protection against dust and water. It will also include an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner for enhanced security.

In a separate post on Weibo, Redmi revealed that the K100 will feature symmetrical dual speakers and seven antennas to improve connectivity. The device will also incorporate an 0815 X-axis linear motor for better haptic feedback.

Previously, Redmi confirmed that the K100 will house a substantial 10,000mAh battery with support for 100W wired charging. The smartphone will also showcase a 6.83-inch AMOLED display.

The K100 will be available in three colors, including a new Firefly Green variant. Pre-orders are currently open through Xiaomi’s official website in China.
