Google Releases Minor Update for Nest Hub Devices

Google has started to roll out a minor update for its Nest Hub family, including the Nest Hub, Nest Hub (2nd Gen), and Nest Hub Max. The update, identified as firmware version 31.20260429.103.8713700, is built on Google’s Fuchsia OS and began distribution on October 20.

The official release notes provide limited details, stating that the update includes bug fixes and security enhancements. Specifically, it mentions, “Bug fixes and improvements, including critical security updates.”

This update follows two previous updates released in September, contributing to nearly a dozen updates issued this year. However, none of these updates have introduced user-facing features, suggesting they are primarily for general maintenance of the platform.
