Google’s Gemini AI Assistant Now Available on Apple CarPlay

Google has expanded its Gemini AI assistant to Apple CarPlay, allowing US drivers to access conversational navigation features. According to Google, the rollout is also expected to happen globally.

It has taken nearly 12 months for Google to make this feature available on CarPlay. Users can now interact with the voice assistant in Google Maps for hands-free assistance while driving. This includes the ability to ask multi-step questions, such as requesting recommendations for places to visit and prompting directions while avoiding toll roads.
