Issues with Google’s Original Nest Doorbell Affect Live Video Feed

An issue with Google’s original Nest Doorbell has left the live view of the video feed broken for many owners, with no word on a fix yet.
In recent days, users have reported that the Live View video feeds from Nest Doorbells are not functioning in the Google Home app. This problem specifically affects the first-generation Nest Doorbell, commonly known as “Nest Hello,” which Google refers to as “Nest Doorbell (wired, 1st gen).”
The issue has been discussed in several Reddit threads, but it appears to have spread more widely in the past few days, as evidenced by numerous Google support threads detailing similar complaints.
Some users have also noted that certain first-generation Nest cameras are experiencing issues, although these reports are less frequent.
Interestingly, notifications from the Nest Doorbell on Nest Hub displays continue to work properly. Some affected users speculate that Google’s transition to WebRTC may be the cause of the problem, but workarounds based on this theory have not proven reliable.
Despite the growing number of reports, Google has not confirmed the issue or provided any updates regarding a potential fix. However, the volume of complaints suggests a significant problem on the company’s end.
Updates will be provided as more information becomes available, but for now, users are encouraged to share their experiences in the comments.
