Pixel Watch Users Report Significant Battery Drain Issues

29 October 2026 2 min read هدهد تك | Hudhud Tech

Recent reports indicate that some users of the Pixel Watch are experiencing a significant increase in battery drain, with losses of up to 20% every few hours.

New software updates can sometimes place additional stress on device batteries. This may explain the issues reported by some Pixel Watch users.

While it is not yet a definitive trend, numerous posts on Reddit highlight similar complaints regarding accelerated battery drain (via Android Authority). One user noted that their Pixel Watch 2 now lasts only 12 hours on a full charge, a significant drop from the usual 48 hours with Always-On Display (AOD) disabled.

Another user reported that their Pixel Watch 4, which typically lasts up to 2.5 days, now barely lasts a day. This reduction in battery life is concerning, especially given the expected performance of these devices.

While sporadic comments reflect similar experiences, many users report no noticeable changes in battery life. The timing of these issues varies, with some users indicating they began experiencing problems a few days ago, while others have noted similar issues for a longer period.

The recent software updates may be a contributing factor. Google’s September 2026 update introduced “Gemini Personalization,” which utilizes past conversations and Google apps like Gmail and Calendar to provide personalized responses. Additionally, a recent Google Health update added automatic activity tracking, though it is unclear if this is related to the battery issues reported by Pixel Watch 2 users.

As of now, Google has not officially acknowledged the battery drain issues affecting these users.
