Sony’s PlayStation Pulse Headset Launches November 19 at $100

Sony has announced the release date for its PlayStation Pulse wireless headset, which will be available on November 19 in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and over a dozen other countries. Pre-orders will open on October 29, with availability in additional countries to be announced later.

The headset is priced at $100 and comes in white and midnight black. This price point is notably lower than the PlayStation Pulse Elite, which retails for $150.

The PlayStation Pulse features larger planar magnetic drivers compared to its predecessor, which Sony claims allows for “fuller, deeper bass” while maintaining the clarity that users expect from the Pulse Elite. The headset also offers enhanced spatial accuracy, helping gamers detect directional cues during gameplay. Additionally, the microphone is equipped with “AI-enhanced noise rejection” to reduce background noise.

Connectivity options include Bluetooth and the PlayStation Link protocol, enabling seamless connections to supported devices such as the PS5, PlayStation Portal, Mac, and PC. This technology facilitates quick switching between devices and provides lossless, ultra-low latency audio.

Looking ahead, a higher-end model called the Pulse Edge is expected to launch in 2027. In the meantime, Sony will begin shipping its Pulse Elevate wireless speakers, priced at $220, next month.
